Overview

Discover adventure tours like Chichen Itza, these mayan ruins are the most amazing and representatives archeological site of the mayan culture, in the northern center of the Yucatan Peninsula. The Maya name "Chichen Itza" means "At the mouth of the well of the Itza." Derives from chi', meaning "mouth" or "edge", and ch'e'en, meaning "well." Itza is the name of an ethnic-lineage group that gained political and economic dominance of the northern peninsula.

In Chichen Itza you can find mayan temples as the Kukulcan known like “The Castle” and ball game, the majestic observatory, the sacred Cenote, the equinox in spring season and solstice in autumn season, you can visit the small on-site museum between other attractions.

Thomas More Travel offers a variety of tour options to this UNESCO World Heritage Site, which was declared one of the Seven New Wonders of the World.

 

Schedules

This trip departs every day, the picking up starts at 7:00 AM to get the main meeting point where you have to check in and change buses to get to the Mayan ruins, the bus returns at 7:00 PM.

Additional Info

On Wednesdays we organize the trip for our Royal Resorts members and guest only. Drinks non included. If you wish to take a video camera into the archaeological site, the permit costs about $4 US.
