We have a host of exciting adventures to bring out the daredevil in you.
CHIMUCH
Venture deep into the jungle on this excursion which combines Mayan history and traditions with a dash of adventure. First we’ll take you to Coba, one of the largest archaeological sites in the Maya World, so huge, in fact, that most of the ancient temples still lie under a mantle of dense vegetation. Climb the Nohoch Mul pyramid, the tallest in the northern Yucatan, for breathtaking views of Coba’s lakes and the green sea of trees that engulfed this ancient city.
Then it’s on to the Mayan village of Chimuch where you’ll meet the inhabitants and they will show you their world. Explore the forest with a Mayan guide and keep a look out for colorful birds and animals. Try your hand at rappel in the mysterious Jaguar Cenote, cross the Caiman lagoon on a zipline and go canoeing on the larger Chimuch lagoons. But it’s not all adventure, there’s mystery too. You’ll learn about the Mayan way of life and beliefs and rituals that have endured for thousands of years.
