Overview

This excursion is a journey into the past and explore two highlights of Mexico: the ancient maya city of Uxmal and gracious Merida, capital of the state of Yucatan. First Thomas More Travel will drive you to Merida and after check-in and lunch at El Castellano (Hotel operated by Royal Resorts), you will visit Uxmal in a guided tour of the site, where you will have dinner and enjoy the spectacular light and sound show staged every evening among the temples and palaces. We return to Merida at night spending a day exploring the city and discovering its history and timeless traditions.
After breakfast the following day we take you on a city tour, which includes stops for shopping and time to visit some of the city’s principal attractions. On our way back to Cancun we call in for lunch at Izamal, a charming town famous for its massive 16th-century convent.

Schedules
