If you like food and the art of cooking or simply enjoy learning about different cultures when you travel, then you’ll love Mexican Culinary Experience, a new Cancun cooking trip from Thomas More Travel. Spend the morning with Chef Claudia García and learn about Mexican cuisine, its sophisticated flavors, incredible diversity and fascinating history.

During the class you’ll hear all about the staple ingredients in the Mexican kitchen: corn, beans, tomatoes, avocados and chilies and the many ways in which they are used to create mouthwatering meals. Discover the secrets of a perfect salsa, get insider’s tips on making guacamole and try your hand at making tortillas. As you take a culinary tour of the nation’s history and regions you’ll also sample appetizers and refreshing fruit drinks.

Each Mexican state has its own dishes and the country can be divided into five major gastronomic regions: the North, Mexico City, Central Mexico, Coastal Regions and the Southeast. Claudia showcases a different region for each class, preparing antojitos or traditional snacks, soup, the main course, side dishes and a dessert. When everything is ready, it’s time for lunch on the terrace and more culinary chitchat.

This Mexican morning is informative, entertaining, perfect for sharing and delicious! Why not try it?
