All aboard the Dancer Catamaran for a cruise ship-style tour to Isla Mujeres that offers three fun activities during the day.
The Dancer has three decks for triple the entertainment. On the lower deck you’ll find the bar, dance floor, live music, restrooms, diving board and pool (delimited by buoys in the sea). Relax on the middle deck in lounge chairs with flat screen TV and audio, there’s plenty of shade and a water slide when you want to cool off. The upper deck has incredible views of the Cancun and Caribbean; it’s the perfect spot for taking photos.
Your first port of call is El Meco, a Mayan archaeological site to the north of Cancun where you’ll have a 40-minute guided tour. Climb the principal temple for a panoramic view of the bay and Chacmochchuc Lagoon. Passengers who do not want to disembark can take salsa lessons or sit back and enjoy the sun and music on the middle deck.
The day’s second activity is snorkeling at the Meco Reef with a guide who will point out colorful fish and marine creatures. There is an area of the sea enclosed with buoys where you can leap from the boat’s diving board or enjoy the water slide.
Then it’s on to Isla Mujeres for a two-hour visit. Stroll through the village streets and shop for souvenirs or rent a golf car or scooter and drive around the island. If you go exploring, be sure to visit Punta Sur, the southernmost point of the island. This rocky headland is crowned by a tiny Mayan temple and offers breathtaking sea views.
Have fun on the lower deck on the way back to Cancun with a live show and a DJ to entertain you.
