Awarded World Heritage status in 2010 in the Intangible Culture category, traditional Mexican cuisine is a comprehensive cultural model comprising farming, ritual practices, age-old skills, culinary techniques and ancestral community customs.

Our cooking class will explore pre-Hispanic and colonial cuisine using ingredients and recipes from the past, showing you the most representative Mexican regions and dishes. We also see how the most successful Mexican chefs are applying timeless ingredients to a modern approach.

Chef Andres graduated from Le Cordon Bleu achieving Le Grande Diplome de Cuisine et de Patisserie. He has 14 years of experience working in diverse restaurants and food and beverage companies in Cancun and Mexico City. His cooking workshop offers different courses to encourage people to cook and use Mexican ingredients and keep the nation’s rich culinary traditions alive.

The workshop is located in a comfortable home in downtown Cancun, 15 minutes away from almost every hotel. The house is fully equipped with air-conditioning, a terrace, boutique, bathroom and Wi-Fi.

Our cooking experience includes all ingredients, meals and beverages presented in the class.
